Office Financial Philosophy

One of our goals at Macomb Orthodontics is to provide you with affordable, high-quality treatment that fits your budget. To achieve our goal, we offer a variety of payment options to meet your needs.

0% Interest In-Office Payment Plans

Our practice is proud to offer 0% interest in-office payment plans for those who qualify. We can generally start most cases with a low down payment, and can stretch the balance owed into monthly payments divided over the course of treatment.

This type of in-office financing is offered to patients interest-free. If you have orthodontic insurance, we deduct the estimated insurance amount from the total case fee and the remaining patient portion is set up for in office financing with this option.

We can conveniently arrange auto debit of your checking account, savings account, or major credit cards the same day each month at no additional charge to you. We also offer monthly in-office payment arrangements with email statements sent to the patient each month.  We are proud to finance our patients’ treatment directly in our office with no interest charged to them.

We also accept CareCredit for those who would prefer a third-party financing solution to start treatment, with no down payment and extended payments as far as 60 months to lower monthly payments. Please click on the CareCredit logo below to apply for these types of payment options.

Orthodontic Insurance

We realize the value of insurance in our patients’ lives. Our office accepts most insurance plans and we work hard to see that you realize your full orthodontic insurance benefit. We generally have the insurance companies pay us directly as a form of payment on your account, which reduces the patient portion of the account due. We are insurance experts, and handle all the billing and follow-up associated with orthodontic insurance for our patients.

This ensures that you get the insurance benefits you deserve, without the difficulty of dealing with confusing codes that insurance billing can present.

Most insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Please read your policy closely to determine which orthodontic benefits you may have prior to your new patient consultation appointment. To help us with your insurance filing, please complete the insurance questions on our new patient information form that you can download on this site’s home page, or that you will receive at your new patient consultation appointment in our office.

Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child, and is a contract between you and your insurance company. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

Flex Healthcare Spending Accounts

Many companies now offer employees an option to place tax-free money into a healthcare flex account for the following year. We are aware of the growing popularity of this option for patients who are planning on having orthodontics done in the next calendar year, and we accept these plans at our practice.

We would be happy to perform a complimentary consultation to determine if you or your child will be a candidate for treatment in the following year. This may assist you in planning your finances for next year’s flex account for future orthodontic treatment.
