We generally have the insurance companies pay us directly as a form of payment on your account, thus decreasing the patient portion of the account due. We are insurance experts, and handle all the billing and follow-up associated with orthodontic insurance for our patients. This ensures that you get the insurance benefits you deserve, without the difficulty of dealing with confusing codes that insurance billing can present.
Most insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Please read your policy closely to determine what orthodontic benefits you may have prior to your new patient consultation appointment. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child, and is a contract between you and your insurance company. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.
